For Miss World Ireland Caoimhe Kenny, dignity begins with something many people take for granted: access to basic hygiene products. Through her Beauty With a Purpose initiative, “Feel Clean, Safe & Seen,” she is tackling hygiene poverty by ensuring that people facing hardship can access essential hygiene items while breaking the stigma that often surrounds the issue. Her mission is to restore dignity and inspire communities to take action.  

Across Ireland, Caoimhe visits schools to deliver interactive talks about hygiene poverty, encouraging honest conversations that challenge misconceptions and raise awareness among young people. By creating safe spaces for discussion, she helps students understand the importance of inclusion and practical support for those experiencing financial hardship.  

Her project also mobilizes school communities to organize hygiene drives, collecting essential toiletries for people in need. These initiatives provide practical assistance and also encourage students to develop leadership skills, teamwork, and a sense of social responsibility through meaningful community service.  

The donations collected support organizations working directly with vulnerable groups, including Hygiene Hub, Save Our Homeless, Women’s Aid, and children in schools who need access to basic hygiene essentials. 

Miss World Ireland will be in Vietnam, from August 9 to September 5, participating at this year’s Miss World Festival.
