Josephine Bøttger, Miss World Denmark 2026, says her national title has always represented more than just beauty. She sees it as a platform to promote important causes, raise awareness, and encourage community involvement.

Bøttger said the Beauty With a Purpose mission was the main reason she chose to participate in Miss World, calling it a reflection of the values she has lived by and an opportunity to create a positive impact through her voice and personal experiences.

Throughout her journey, she has supported several charitable organizations in Denmark. Among them is Mødrehjælpen (Mothers’ Aid), which assists pregnant women and families facing difficult circumstances by providing counseling, financial guidance, and practical support. As part of her involvement, Bøttger donated handmade pacifier clips to families.

She has also worked with Salto, an initiative that supports mothers and young children through activities, guidance, and social connections designed to strengthen families during early parenthood.

A cause especially close to her heart is the Danish Heart Association (Hjerteforeningen). Born with a congenital heart condition, Bøttger has participated in awareness initiatives alongside HV Runners, helping promote heart health and support for people living with congenital heart disease.

She also serves as a board member of the Children’s Club (Børneklubben) of the Danish Heart Association, where she helps create meaningful experiences for children living with heart disease and their families. Her work includes organizing activities that bring children and families together, leading dance and movement sessions that encourage confidence and self-expression, and supporting awareness campaigns highlighting the challenges and strengths of children with congenital heart conditions. 

Through these efforts, she hopes to reduce isolation, strengthen community bonds, and ensure children and their families feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Josephine Bøttger will represent Denmark at the 75th Anniversary edition of Miss World, to be held in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026.
