As part of the 75th Anniversary celebrations of Miss World, the spotlight returns to the inspiring winners of the Beauty With a Purpose award who used their platforms to create lasting social change.

In 2012, Miss World India Vanya Mishra won the BWAP title for her significant work supporting Muktangan, an innovative education initiative transforming public schooling in Mumbai.

The project focuses on reforming classroom learning by promoting child-centered education, experiential learning, and well-trained local teachers. Partnering with municipal schools and NGOs, Muktangan delivers high-quality English-medium education to underserved communities while creating sustainable teacher training models.
