On *May 22*, during the *Head to Head Challenge* at the Miss World 2025 pageant, *Anudi Gunasekara*, representing Sri Lanka as the “Blue Water Lily,” achieved *1st place* in the Asia and Oceania group.

On the same day, at the *Shilpakala Vedika Theatre in Hyderabad*, she also placed *20th among the Top 24 finalists* in the *Talent Competition*, marking another significant milestone.

This marks the *first time in Miss World history* that a Sri Lankan delegate has earned top-tier placements in two major preliminary competitions of the pageant.
