When talent meets opportunity, tradition can become a powerful force for change. 🇱🇰✨
Miss Sri Lanka Prathibha Liyanarachchi is bringing a meaningful vision to the Miss World stage through her Beauty With a Purpose project, Hoop The Label.
Inspired by the skilled artisans in her own family, including her grandmother and mother, Prathibha saw how many talented people across Sri Lanka possess incredible craftsmanship but often lack the platforms and opportunities needed to take their work further.
Hoop The Label was created to help change that. 💛
The women-led social enterprise supports artisans, homemakers, designers and aspiring entrepreneurs through design education, mentorship, access to markets and opportunities to collaborate — helping them turn their creativity and traditional skills into sustainable livelihoods.
The initiative also reaches rural communities and works with organisations supporting vulnerable women and survivors of abuse, while helping preserve Sri Lanka’s valuable cultural heritage.
At its heart, this project is about giving people the opportunity to believe in their abilities, become economically independent and build a more secure future through the skills they already possess.
And the vision does not stop there. Hoop The Label aims to create a model that can grow across communities where incredible talent exists, but opportunities are limited.
This is the beauty of Prathibha’s purpose — using creativity, craftsmanship and opportunity to create meaningful social change right here in Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰❤️
