I saw what school should be like everywhere: a place where no child is put aside.

On Wednesday, at the Ekoudou Bastos Educational Center, I saw what school should be like everywhere: a place where no child is put aside.

Here, children living with cognitive disorders and so-called "valid" children learn together, without a heavy look, without mockery, without fear of being different. And it changes everything.

Because harassment often begins where we learn too early to exclude.

We talked about words that hurt, gestures that mark, but above all about BENEVOLENCE, the one that is learned from childhood and that can save lives.

In this month of February dedicated to Cameroonian youth, I leave with a reinforced conviction: educating is not only about instructing, it is learning to respect the other in his difference.

Thank you to this school and the Vie d'Amie association for this essential work.

The future is built when each child feels seen, accepted and protected.

Benevolence is not innate. She teaches herself. And it starts very early.
