One of my favourite things to witness as a passionate Miss World fan, is former titleholders of a different era describe their experiences. During the 61st edition in 2011, two former Miss World titleholders were brought together at the Lyceum Ballroom in London, UK where they had once been crowned at the ages of 18 and 19. They were Miss World 1953, Denise Perrier from France 🇫🇷, and Miss World 1954, Antigone Costanda from Egypt 🇪🇬. It was such a sweet, nostalgic moment for them to be sitting in the same theatre over 50 years later and speak about how their time was so different from the present, but that the organization remained as strong as ever. Though many of us were not born during this time, we cherish these stories from the past, the timeless elegance of the former winners, and the Miss World organization that values each and every one of their former queens. Cheers to all the beautiful, nostalgic moments 🥂
